Trailer compilation of this month's most anticipated new releases

Spooky season is upon us, so you know there's plenty of sneaky, creepy and outright terrifying games inbound. But there's much more than that in October's bag of tricks and treats. This month we'll follow an old man on his heartfelt path of redemption, join a young girl on a twisted journey to rescue her townsfolk from monsters, grab a partner to solve puzzles in a new co-op adventure, deliver some mail and do some peeping while we're at it, and guide a neglectful father through an eerily cheery dream world.

Of course there's more. We always say that, but it's extra true this month. We didn't even have room for the remaster of one of Telltale's finest, or a whopping thousand puzzles in Jonathan Blow's latest epic. And mixed in among those is a little mystery, a little physics defiance, a little espionage, and – yes – a whole lot of horror. (Did we mention it's October?) Plus penguins. Lovecraftian penguins. Obviously.

Featured this month:

Forever Ago
Allogloom
We Were Here Tomorrow
Tom the postgirl
Sleepytime Village

Remember when we said there was more? October gets a bonus addition, as just announced after compiling our video is the highly anticipated new game from the creator of Lucy Dreaming.
