The promise of great adventures in 2026

Hard to believe we’re nearly six weeks into 2026, and with so many great new games already released, including TR-49, Earth Must Die, Perfect Tides: Station to Station and more! Geez, devs, save some for the rest of the year, would you?

Well, it seems that’s not a concern, as there’s a LOT left to look forward to. Jack and Joshua preview just some of the promising new titles coming this year, such as the new Life Is Strange: Reunion bringing the saga of beloved characters Max and Chloe to a close; ONTOS, the spiritual successor to SOMA from the horror gurus at Frictional Games; and Crushed in Time, the next game from the wonderfully warped minds behind There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension.

But even those heavy hitters are just scratching the surface, with so many fantastic indies lined up as well, plus a whole lot more that probably won’t make 2026 but are cause for excitement already.

Despite his fondness for Amanita Design, Jack refused to even include Phonopolis, with no new updates in ages, then lo and behold, before the show was even released came a demo! (You’re welcome.)

So yes, 2026 is looking like another great year. For other mediums as well? That’s to be determined, but the guys wrap up by sharing their personal top five movies and TV shows on the horizon.
