The Incident At Galley House interview – Robin Ward, Jeremy Johnston and William Rous
- 0 Comments
Last year's indie deduction game The Roottrees Are Dead served up a delectable cocktail of intrigue, mystery and eureka moments, which proved a sure-fire hit for those wanting to scratch that Golden Idol itch. Now the developers – Robin Ward of Evil Trout and Jeremy Johnston, the man behind the original itch.io version of Roottrees – are back with another deduction game remake called The Incident At Galley House.
Attempting to repeat their successful formula, the pair have again taken a popular free text-based itch.io game, Type Help, created and released by William Rous in 2025, and added new features – art, voice acting and additional scenes – to launch it commercially on Steam. The game is out now, and I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of it and to speak to all three devs about the process. And don't worry – we keep it spoiler free!
