What's happening with Adventure Game Hotspot's YouTube channel

Being the observant adventure gamers you are, many of you will have already noticed that as of Wednesday morning, the YouTube channel for Adventure Game Hotspot is no longer accessible.
We can’t get deep into specifics just yet, and indeed it’s too early to have any definitive answers, but for now we can tell you that the channel has been suspended by YouTube indefinitely.
The issue stems from a series of complaints regarding videos of convention panels filmed at (our very own!) Adventure Game Fan Fair. The reasons given were meaninglessly vague and the complaints completely spurious, and we strongly believe them to have been instigated by a person or persons acting in bad faith. Unfortunately, the only alerts we received from YouTube came all at once in the middle of the night, and by morning the channel had already been zapped.
Even more problematic is YouTube’s highly restrictive appeal process, which makes disputing even patently ridiculous claims like this a major obstacle. (It’s challenging enough just getting to speak to a real person.)
Rest assured we’ll be taking whatever steps are necessary to escalate the dispute as high and far as it needs to go for this blatantly unjust suspension to be overturned.
While our YouTube trailer channel remains active, it’s linked to the same user account so we will not be uploading any new game videos to it until this issue is resolved. (We will, however, still be displaying all new trailers from their original sources on the Hotspot website itself.)
Anyway, yeah, this sucks and we're angry. We do apologize for the inconvenience, but stay tuned as we hope it’s just a matter of time before we put the matter behind us.

This really sucks. I discovered AGH through the Youtube channel. I really enjoy listening to all of the videos and I probably wouldn't have had the courage to approach you about writing for the site. I really hope that the channel gets back up soon.

So sorry you guys are dealing with this. Good example of why the web consolidating into few huge understaffed platforms really sucks. I hope you can appeal. Either way I will keep reading this awesome site. Thanks so much for what you guys do.

I miss the awesome podcasts and seeing the enthusiasm from Jack and Josh as they recommended their favorite games. I miss the funny gaming news videos Josh made. I keep having to remind myself the channel is gone as I want to watch another top adventure games video to figure out what to play next. It's disgusting that someone's baseless personal vendetta can take down a great channel without swift redress. Hopefully this gets sorted out soon.

What the hell...? I wasn't sleeping well tonight and wanted to catch up, check out what you've posted to Youtube lately. Nichts. I know Youtube is notoriously awful to deal with regarding appeals, but I fully believe you will triumph. If you guys need a volunteer to help get the videos up on Peertube for now (which whoever these assclowns are cannot go after), please email me.
