Adventure Game Fan Fair announcement: We're moving! (Just up the road)

What a real-world adventure the planning has been for the upcoming Adventure Game Fan Fair. Countless hours, dozens of prestigious guests, hundreds of visitors and thousands of dollars later, the big event is now just a little over a week away, beginning July 26th in Tacoma, Washington!
Only... not so fast.
What’s an adventure without some completely improbable, high-stakes obstacle emerging out of the blue that threatens to stop the journey cold, requiring extraordinary feats of problem-solving to overcome?
Well, we just hit ours.
The Problem: From the book of “What’s the Worst That Could Happen?” came word from the University of Washington, Tacoma that a car accident had “caused severe damage to the campus electrical system and resulted in a nearly campus-wide power outage” that remains in effect nearly two weeks later.
And just like that, there went our plans to host the AGFF at our original venue. While repair work is underway, we couldn’t afford to wait with no guarantee they would be completed in time.
The Puzzle: Relocate a three-day convention within a week, in a way that doesn’t significantly alter our plans or inconvenience visitors.
The Solution: The Greater Tacoma Convention Center!
That’s right, the answer is to pick up and move less than a mile, just up the road.
There are still many details to be worked out between now and then, but the move is official. For those attending, this bit of adversity is turning out to be a blessing in disguise, as it’s a spacious, beautiful facility that can easily accommodate the Adventure Game Fan Fair in comfort and style, with room to spare. (So much room, in fact, that we can sell more tickets, which were all but sold out otherwise.)
This is where we were already planning to hold our Friday night afterparty, so we’ll just crash a little earlier than expected.
The Greater Tacoma Convention Center's address is:
1500 Commerce Street
Tacoma, WA 98402
We apologize for the short notice and unforeseen change of plans, but we’re adventure gamers! We love a challenge and improvised solutions that save the day, don't we? And in this case, we know you'll be pleased with how the situation worked out. If you have any questions or concerns about the change in venue, please don't hesitate to contact us.
