The Adventure Game Fair gets underway – completely livestreamed!

At last, the big day, the big weekend is upon us: The Adventure Game Fan Fair gets underway today!

Surely you’ve all heard of it by now: the first-ever convention devoted to adventure games in the United States, located in scenic Tacoma, Washington. And even if you can’t be there in person, you can still participate in the next best thing. Read on!

What’s it all about again?

The Fan Fair is going to be packed with great guests, including a who’s who of Sierra legends having a long-overdue reunion on-site: Ken and Roberta Williams, Al Lowe, Jane Jensen and Robert Holmes, Mark Crowe, Lori and Corey Cole, Lorelei Shannon and many more!

From morning 'til night, there will no shortage of games to play with many of their developers on hand, from classic golden oldies on their original hardware to brand-spanking new VR titles.

There will a packed slate of group panels covering all sorts of great topics, featuring renowned luminaries like Rand Miller, Aaron Conners, Dave Gilbert, Francisco Gonzalez and Graeme Devine, to name just a few from a truly star-studded lineup.

Then there’s the evening events, including a variety show, cosplay and trivia contests, Fright Night afterparty, a full awards presentation and the inaugural Adventure Game Hall of Fame ceremony!

Yes, the Greater Tacoma Convention Center will truly be the adventure game hotspot this weekend!

I couldn’t come, darnit, and I still want to see!

While a ticket is needed to get into the Adventure Game Fan Fair itself (and if you’re in the Pacific Northwest, there are still tickets left courtesy of our last-minute venue upheaval), you don’t need one to join in on the fun from the comfort of your own home. That’s because we’ll be livestreaming the entire event!

The start times are as follows:

Friday, July 26: Noon Pacific (UTC−08:00)

Saturday, July 27: 9am Pacific (UTC−08:00)

Sunday, July 28: 9am Pacific (UTC−08:00)

You can stay right here and watch as long as you like each day, but you’ll have more fun if you subscribe to our YouTube channel and join in the ongoing chat with fellow adventure game fans. (No strings attached; subscription is simply to weed out the legit fans from unwanted spam.)

We hope you’ll tune in, because it’s sure to be a lot of fun. Even if you can’t be with us in the flesh, you can still be with us in spirit!
