Changes to login/registration process

Hello, Adventure Game Hotspot community!

Just a quick administrative note to pass along today.

When we first opened our discussion board, the forum had its own login process distinct from the main website. However, as the latter served no particular purpose besides leaving article comments under your own name (and isn’t even required to do that), we have now combined the two processes so that registering and logging into one gives you access to both.

What does this mean to me? 

Good question! For the most part, nothing at all, except that if you registered an account with the main site previously, that account is no longer active. Rest assured, however, that all article comments left under the previous account have been preserved.

From this point forward, if registering a new account just to leave article comments, you certainly aren’t required to participate in the forums as well. That said, they’re a lot of fun and building great camaraderie among fellow adventure fans already, so we encourage you to at least check them out!

On the other hand, if you’ve registered to join the forums, you can now submit article comments with no extra fuss on the main site.

Really this is nothing but a bit of administrative housekeeping to keep things clean and simple. We just don’t want anyone to be surprised if they’re suddenly whisked from registering an account on the main site and end up on the forum instead.

If you aren't already an official community member, we do invite everyone to participate in whatever way they feel most comfortable. Come one, come all – the more the merrier!
