Five Top Upcoming Adventure Games – September 2025

Trailer compilation of this month's most anticipated new releases
Back to school? Pffft. More like back to gaming, because after a wee bit of a summer lull, there are so many great games coming out (or due to come out) in September that it will require a LOT of cramming. Headlining the month are a brand new Agatha Christie whodunit, a gorgeous-looking Myst-style indie adventure, a Burton-esque dark fantasy adaptation of a VR movie, a retro murder mystery on the streets of nineteenth-century Germany, and a new DLC installment for everyone's favorite whip-cracking treasure hunter for those who don't mind a little action with their adventuring. And that's just our top five! It's such a good month that some other big-time games were left off, including a sequel to the highly popular Strange Horticulture, a new Tesla-themed puzzler from the creators of The House of Da Vinci series, and much much more. So clear your calendars, send the kids off to do their homework, and start having some serious fun!
