Update: What's better than five or six top trailers to get you in the mood for adventuring? How about SEVEN? Shortly after our video went live came word of Kathy Rain 2 arriving in May as well, one of THE most anticipated games of the year. Better late than never!

After a torrid stretch of high-profile releases, May settles down somewhat but still promises a fresh new batch of great new adventures, each vastly different from the rest, ensuring a little something special for everyone. Especially because this month's top five is actually a top SIX. Not because we can't count, but because the game launch we might be most excited about was announced mere minutes too late to make our video. But perhaps the Duck Detective deserves a spotlight of his own anyway for his upcoming sequel. Bring on some more mystery de-duck-tions!

The month starts off strong with a unique narrative adventure that is sure to leave you breathless in more ways than one, as well as the long-awaited completion of a four-part historical drama on the high seas. Then it's off to scenic Icelandic-inspired environs for a highly anticipated animal adventure sequel, beating the dystopian streets in a cyberpunk mystery by Cosmic Void, and capitalizing on the chance to try out a bold new title from the creator of Katamari Damacy. Plus serving drinks and solving crimes, uncovering ancient Mesopotamian secrets, blindly (literally) escaping tormentors with help from a teddy bear, and exploring a haunting visual novel by Jesse Makkonen using... pseudo-ASCII art?! Oh yes, all this and so much more await.
