Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer walkthrough

Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer walkthrough

Spoiler-free walkthrough by Clifftop Games

DAY 1

Getting out of the office:

Hint 1: You need to find something related to the Soothsayer

Solution: Try examining the newspaper rack.

What do I do in the library:

Hint 1: The information you need is in the newspapers on the microfilm archive.

Hint 2: Did you examine the calendar?

Solution: Use dates in the calendar with the microfilm shelves to find news coverage about the Soothsayer.

First microfilm:

Hint 1: You need to work your way back from murder date to murder date.

Hint 2: Did you have a look at the original articles that you found in Rain Investigations?

Hint 3: Did you notice the mention of Stormchaser?

Hint 4: Did you try using the computer?

Hint 5: Did you try looking up Stormchaser on the computer?

Solution: Select April 25 on the computer and use that date with the microfilm shelves.

Second microfilm:

Hint 1: In the Kassidy Sun #845, there is mention of coverage of the previous victim in issue #842.

Hint 2: The number of issues between the two papers is key.

Hint 2: The Sun may not necessarily be a daily newspaper.

Hint 3: Perhaps it is weekly.

Hint 4: Remember that you can use the calendar not only to select dates, but also to track days and weeks.

Hint 5: Try counting back from the publishing date of Sun #845 in the first microfilm and locate a likely date where issue #842 was released.

Hint 6: Assume that the Sun is a weekly paper and count back three weeks from April 29.

Solution: Select April 8 in the calendar and use that with the microfilm shelves.

Third microfilm:

Hint 1: Is there any indication in the two newspaper articles of when Eric Holloway’s murder occurred?

Hint 2: The murder occurred on the month before publication, i.e. March.

Hint 2: Maybe the moon cycle is in the calendar?

Hint 3: See if you can find the full moon in there.

Solution: Select March 12 in the calendar and use it with the microfilm shelves.

Fourth microfilm:

Hint 1: Is there any information about when Rose’s murder occurred in the two articles?

Hint 2: Perhaps holidays are marked out in the calendar.

Hint 3: Look for Statehood Day in the calendar.

Solution: Select February 5 in the calendar and use it on the microfilm shelves.

Found all the microfilms, what now?

Hint 1: Did you try querying notes in the notebook for hints?

Hint 2: Did you find the address to Debra’s cabin?

Hint 3: Try asking the librarian.

Hint 4: Did you find the address to the King of Kings?

Hint 5: Try the phone book.

Hint 6: Did you look up the Azure Sky?

Hint 7: Did you find the name of Rose’s husband?

Hint 8: Did you call him?

Solution: Ask the librarian about Debra Sinclair and then about her murder. Look up the King of Kings and Azure Sky Motel in the phone book, then call the Azure Sky and ask about Rose. Lastly, look up Orson Taylor in the phone book and call him.

Gazette:

Hint 1: Try asking Art and Eileen about objects in the room

Hint 2: Did you ask Art about the church expose on the wall?

Hint 3: Did you ask Eileen about Art’s new lead?

Hint 4: She’s refusing to help? Maybe you can turn her against Art, somehow?

Hint 5: Try asking Art again about the church expose and see if you can provoke him to piss of Eileen and make Kathy look good.

Hint 6: Eileen might subconsciously react when she hears certain things.

Hint 7: Day still not ending? Don’t forget to ask Eileen about scrying mirrors.

Solution: Ask Art about the church expose on the wall, go through the different topics and select dialogue options that are sympathetic to Christians. Eileen will make a noise in the background when you have selected the right option. After that, ask her again about Art’s new lead. Also make sure to ask Eileen about scrying mirrors, or the day won’t end.

EVENING 1

Hint 1: Did you ask Lionel about Pyre?

Hint 2: Perhaps you can find out more about the Club of Hearts somewhere?

Solution: Go downtown, ask Lionel about Pyre and then look up the Club of Hearts in the phone book.

DAY 2

Hint 1: Did you go to the roof?

Hint 2: Did you check the condolence notes?

Hint 3: Did you check the door next to Eric’s?

Hint 4: Did you try knocking?

Hint 5: Rachel doesn’t appear to trust PI’s

Hint 6: And she is a devout Christian.

Hint 7: Perhaps you know somebody who could help?

Hint 8: Try the Gazette.

Hint 9: Business cards.

Solution: Go up to the roof, get the “RW” note, check the name tag on the neighbor’s door, go to the Gazette, ask Eileen for one of her business cards and slip it through Rachel’s mailbox.

Bear Creek (pre-quiz):

Hint 1: This is a remote place — probably good for snooping around.

Hint 2: Did you find all of the tools in Rain Investigations?

Hint 3: That mailbox looks interesting.

Hint 4: Those lockpicks would sure come in handy.

Solution: Use the lockpicks on the mailbox.

Quiz Q1:

Hint 1: Time for a return trip to the library.

Hint 2: The book database would be useful.

Hint 3: The book database states the release date of each book.

Hint 4: You should be able to identify two books between the Jenny Payne installments.

Hint 5: What do Afflicted and Stormchaser have in common?

Solution: “Native Americans”

Quiz Q2:

Hint 1: Did you ask the librarian about Debra Sinclair?

Hint 2: Try the book database again. Perhaps you can use trial and error to find the pseudonym?

Hint 3: Try searching for “Willis”.

Solution: “D. Willis”

Quiz Q3:

Hint 1: Did you read the description of Debra’s biography, “Unbound”?

Hint 2: Try searching the database for Stephen Collins.

Solution: The Mauve Affair

Quiz Q4A:

Hint 1: Perhaps Debra kept her favorite smells around the cabin?

Solution: Lavender

Quiz Q4B:

Hint 1: Perhaps those newspaper articles could come in handy again.

Hint 2: Take a closer look at the photo of Debra.

Solution: Yaupon tea

Entering the cabin:

Hint: Did you try asking Randy about the cabin door?

Solution: Ask Randy about the door, pick up the key from the flower pot, and then unlock the door.

Inside cabin:

Hint 1: Keep a careful look at your surroundings.

Hint 2: Do you see that glint every now and then?

Hint 3: Can’t pick up the obsidian shard with your bare hands? Got anything small and sturdy that might fit in the crack?

Hint 4: Lockpicks.

Hint 5: Smooth surfaces tend to leave prints.

Hint 6: Without a fingerprint kit, you’ll have to get creative.

Hint 7: Three components: Powder, brush and tape.

Hint 8: Thankfully, there’s plenty of powder left by forensics in the cabin.

Hint 9: Perhaps there is some other brush that Kathy would use regularly.

Hint 10: Check the makeup area in Rain Investigations.

Hint 11: Tape is commonly found in office spaces.

Solution: Pick up the makeup brush from Rain Investigations and a roll of tape at the Gazette (ask E about it). Use the makeup brush with the powder pile in the cabin, powder the shard, and then pick up the print with the tape.

Inside cabin pt 2:

Hint 1: First off, you can’t let the ranger enter the cabin.

Hint 2: Your key works from the inside.

Hint 3: Getting caught from the left? There should be a big obstacle to hide behind.

Solution: Use the key to lock the door, hide behind the sofa, then wait for him to leave.

Sycamore Lane:

Hint 1: No idea of what to do? Try asking Meadow again — maybe she’ll be more clear.

Hint 2: Your objective is to put on the chakra necklace and take a selfie under the right circumstances.

Hint 3: Location, location, location.

Hint 4: So, Meadow wants some “aspect” of fire, earth and wind to be present in the photo.

Hint 5: Did you check out Constance Hill yet?

Hint 6: Fire not included? Maybe there’s some “remnant of fire” in the scene?

Hint 7: Try sitting near the scorched earth.

Hint 8: No wind? Timing is important.

Solution: Go to Constance Hill, sit by the charred ground, use the chakra necklace and then time the photo when the wind is blowing.

Car Repair 1a:

Hint 1: Wrenches range in size from 8 to 13

Hint 2: “Medium” should be 10-11

Hint 3: He said “not the rusty one”, which is as high as size 12 so we should probably go on the upper end.

Solution: Wrench size 11.

Car Repair 1b:

Solution: Blue pliers (wire cutters) and multimeter

Car Repair 2a:

Hint 1: “Regular” pliers ought to be pliers that has a generic, simple shape.

Hint 2: Cross-point is a type of screwdriver (not the flat kind).

Solution: Yellow pliers, big purple screwdriver

Car Repair 2b:

Hint 1: A keyset is a set of keys for twisting bolts with hexagonal holes.

Hint 2: “Mini-wrench” would probably mean the smallest one.

Hint 3: You picked the purple big screwdriver last time, and there is only one other big screwdriver in the toolbox.

Solution: Hex keys, wrench size 8 (pink label), and red big screwdriver.

Car Repair 3a:

Hint 1: There is only one rusty wrench.

Hint 2: A big bulky hammer shape would be good for bashing.

Hint 3: “Slot-head” and “flat-head” both mean flat screwdrivers.

Solution: Rusty wrench (size 12), mallet, small orange-grey (flat) screwdriver.

Car Repair 3b:

Hint: A six-inch bolt is too small for any of the fixed wrenches. You’ll have to find an alternative.

Solution: Adjustable wrench, rag.

Car Repair 3c:

Hint 1: The last wrench you picked was size 12.

Hint 2: The last screwdriver you picked was the small orange-grey (flat) screwdriver. Solution: Wrench size 10 (green label), teal small screwdriver (cross-point)

Evening 2 won’t trigger, what did I miss?

Hint 1: Did you listen to Kathy’s answering machine messages?

Hint 2: Did you help the Reverend repair his car and inquire about the murder, the church, and the deacon?

Hint 3: Did you find the shiny hidden clue inside the cabin?

Hint 4: Did you extract the fingerprint from the obsidian shard?

Hint 5: Did you get the scrying mirror from Meadow?

Hint 6: Did you ask Rachel about everything related to Eric?

Hint 7: Did you examine the scorch marks and the fire pit at Constance Hill?

Solution: Do all of the above.

EVENING 2

Josh:

Hint 1: Perhaps there is some evidence that Josh could help you with?

Hint 2: Maybe something from the cabin?

Solution: Give him the extracted fingerprint.

Lucas:

Hint: Try asking about topics until you find information to trade.

Solution: Ask Lucas about Pyre, then ask about Rose Taylor.

DAY 3

Tabby’s Garden:

Hint 1: No such location? Did you listen to the answering machine?

Hint 2: Maybe you can get your hands on one of the obsidian mirrors?

Hint 3: Tabby noticing you? Perhaps you can replace the mirror with something.

Hint 4: Remember what Meadow gave you?

Solution: Pick up the obsidian mirror and replace it with the cheap scrying mirror that Meadow gave you.

Engstrom pt 1:

Hint 1: Did you go see mom? Try asking Oscar about the door on the left.

Hint 2: Don’t forget to ask mom about Rose.

Solution: Ask Oscar about the door to visit Mom, and then ask her about Rose.

Rockport Royal:

Hint 1: Examining the “Rockport Royal” note in your notebook can give you some clues on what to do next.

Hint 2: There was an interesting ad in one of the old newspaper articles you picked up…

Hint 3: The flavor is discontinued, but maybe you can come up with something that’s close enough…

Hint 4: Did you notice the cigarette machine in the downtown area?

Hint 5: Try examining the cigarette pack and you may get more hints on what you need to do to next.

Hint 6: Maybe there are some supplies in your office that can help.

Hint 7: That fussy drawer might have something useful in it…

Hint 8: Can’t ask Eileen about it? Maybe on the phone…

Hint 9: Color on the pack still wrong? Red + Blue = Purple.

Hint 10: Alright, time to deal with the smell next. The ad says you need three components.

Hint 11: Remember what was growing outside Debra’s cabin?

Hint 12: Cinnamon is a common kitchen spice.

Hint 13: Herbs like mint are often sold in flower shops.

Hint 14: Ingredients too moist? Maybe there’s some way to dry them…

Hint 15: A kitchen might come in handy again.

Solution: Call Eileen from the office and ask about the fussy drawer. Open it and get the items inside. Collect the necessary cigarette components: Cigarette pack (Downtown), Lavender (Bear Creek), Mint (Tabby’s Garden), Cinnamon (Kathy’s spice rack). Dry the plants in the oven. Use both markers on the white pack.

Engstrom pt 2:

Hint 1: Don’t forget to grill Oscar about what Mom just told you.

Solution: Talk to Mom again, and then ask Oscar about Rose’s Lover.

Evening 3 won’t trigger, what did I miss?

Hint 1: Did you listen to Kathy’s answering machine messages?

Hint 2: Did you ask Tabitha about the Soothsayer and scrying mirrors?

Hint 3: Did you pick up one of the obsidian mirrors at Tabitha’s?

Hint 4: Did you appease Mom at Engstrom’s and ask her about Rose? After, did you bring it up with Oscar?

Solution: Do all of the above.

EVENING 3

Access to the Club of Hearts pt 1:

Hint 1: Maybe you know someone who is a member?

Solution: Try asking Meadow about it.

Chakra redux:

Hint 1: Meadow put a lot of emphasis on the color “green”...

Hint 2: Is there some place around with strong colored lights?

Hint 3: Try heading downtown.

Hint 4: Not finding a green light? Maybe some light is green on occasion?

Solution: Head downtown, press the traffic light switch, put on the pendant and take a photo. Go back to Meadow.

Access to the Club of Hearts pt 2:

Hint 1: You need to do something about the photo on Meadow’s card.

Hint 2: Kathy’s office should contain everything you need.

Hint 3: Thankfully, you already have a few photos of yourself.

Hint 4: Did you notice the plastic laminator?

Solution: Use the scissors to cut your face out of the original chakra photo. Place the card and photo in the laminator in Kathy’s office.

Hannah Verdoux:

Hint 1: Hannah isn’t interested in talking to nobodies, but perhaps you can impress her somehow…

Hint 2: Did you look at the flyer next to the bouncer?

Hint 3: Did you ask Art about it?

Solution: Look at the flyer next to the bouncer, then go to Art and ask him about it. After that, try going up on stage.

Stage:

Hint 1: Did you listen to Hannah’s feedback on your poem?

Hint 2: Did you read the second note from “T”?

Hint 3: Hannah likes three main themes: Human connection, self-destruction/struggle, and non-conformity.

Hint 4: There are many different solutions to the puzzle.

Hint 5: Try fitting all three themes in a single poem.

Solution: “Beating hearts scream loud”; “Beyond the norms, stars align”; “Struggle, justified”.

Lucas:

Hint: Once again, you need to trade some information.

Solution: Ask Lucas about “Faze” and Tabitha Caldwell.

DAY 4

Not sure what to do today:

Hint 1: Did you check the answering machine?

Solution: Check the answering machine and go downtown.

Corey:

Hint 1: Did you ask Corey about Pyre and the Pyre dealers?

Hint 2: Kathy has seen a person that looks kind of like the bald Pyre dealer.

Hint 3: Check your inventory.

Hint 4: Ranger brochure.

Solution: Ask Corey about Pyre and the Pyre dealers and then show him the Ranger Brochure.

Ranger Station:

Hint 1: You should probably ask the junior ranger about ‘Vic’

Solution: Ask Cassie about ‘Vic’.

Verdant Street:

Hint 1: Rachel not home? Try the roof.

Hint 2: To save Rachel, you need to convince her that she won’t be reunited with Eric in death.

Hint 3: Rachel mentioned Eric seeing many women. Maybe one of them was scarred?

Solution: Go up on the roof, convince Rachel that she won’t be reunited with Eric in death. Back in the lobby, ask her about the scarred woman.

Church:

Hint 1: Perhaps the Reverend knows Faith?

Solution: Ask the Reverend about Faith.

EVENING 4

Onyx Row:

Hint 1: Door locked? Luckily you have the perfect tools for that.

Hint 2: Notice that cellphone on the table?

Solution: Use the lockpicks on the door, pick up the cellphone, head back out and go up to the roof.

DAY 5

Longhorn PI:

Hint 1: Did you examine everything on the desk?

Hint 2: Did you examine the calendar and get “JK” in your notebook?

Hint 3: Perhaps there is more information about “JK” nearby.

Hint 4: Did you search the address book?

Hint 5: Did you try calling “JK”?

Solution: Examine everything on the desk, click the calendar and examine one of the “JK” related entries to add it to the notebook. Search the address book for “JK”, and then call the related number.

Pager (Part 1):

Hint 1: Your first objective is to figure out what “1011” means. Maybe some of the other clues can help?

Hint 2: Try the police manual.

Hint 3: Check the morse section.

Solution: JK

Pager (Part 2):

Hint 1: So, JK used 1011 as a prefix. What would this correspond to for Lucas?

Hint 2: Check the morse section again.

Hint 3: See what morse codes would correspond to Lucas’ initials, “LL”.

Hint 4: Alright, so, 1212 should be the prefix for Lucas’ initials. What comes next likely uses a different encoding.

Hint 5: Those 10-codes in the police manual look interesting…

Hint 6: Is there any 10-code that has to do with arranging a meeting?

Solution: 12121025

Pager (Part 3):

Hint 1: 10-20000 is too long for a 10-code. Maybe it’s split into two parts?

Hint 2: “10-20” + “000”

Hint 3: “10-20” means “Location”. Is there anything in the clues that explains ‘000’?

Hint 4: The post-it mentions that ‘000’ means ‘?’. Should this be taken literally?

Hint 5: You need to answer the question “Location?”

Hint 6: Kathy only knows one location in Lucas’ list, the park.

Hint 7: The post-it mentions the park, once again. 1x4. How can this be expressed in numbers?

Hint 8: 1111

Hint 9: Don’t forget all three parts of the full code: The initials prefix, the 10-code, and then the last part to designate the location.

Solution: 121210201111

Pager (Part 4):

Hint 1: We’ve got the location sorted, now JK is asking for what time to meet. Kathy already has one in mind, 2pm.

Hint 2: We should use the same structure again: Initials, 10-code, and then the time.

Hint 3: It’s likely that JK expects military notation, it’s the standard for law enforcement and also what Lucas wrote in his calendar.

Solution: 121210361400

KCU Hack (Part 1):

Hint 1: Did you try to boot up Andrea’s computer?

Hint 2: You don’t have everything you need in the dorm room to crack the computer.

Hint 3: Try the office.

Hint 4: Eileen might be of some help.

Hint 5: Did you check the bookshelf?

Hint 6: The book mentions that you need a second computer.

Solution: Boot up Andrea’s computer and wait for the password prompt. Go to Rain Investigations, pick up the book from the bookshelf, talk to Eileen and ask her about her laptop.

KCU Hack (Part 2):

Hint 1: Did you check the different steps for the hack outlined in the computer book?

Hint 2: First, there needs to be a physical connection between the computers.

Hint 3: Try the FlyWire cable from the box on the floor.

Hint 4: The book mentions enabling DMA (Direct Memory Access) on the target computer.

Hint 5: Did you check the BIOS settings? Hit the return key as the computer is booting.

Hint 6: Don’t forget to install the utilities from the companion CD.

Solution: Pick up the FlyWire cable from the box on the floor, connect the cable to both computers, hit enter during the boot of Andrea’s PC to open the BIOS settings, change the DMA setting to “enabled”. Pick up the CD from the last page of the computer book and use it on the laptop.

KCU Hack (Part 3):

Hint 1: Your task is to identify and capture a specific identifier in the memory of the target computer, as outlined in the computer book.

Hint 2: The memory segment will only be visible on the screen for a brief moment, so make sure it is entered in the MemStack filter field when you boot up Andrea’s PC. “Stop on match” will simplify this process.

Hint 3: So, the segment begins with a 4-digit software identifier. There is a list of those in the book. It should say when booting her PC what software Andrea uses.

Hint 4: SecVault would correspond to 1A2B, so we have figured out the first part of the memory segment. The next part would be the version, also visible when booting.

Hint 5: The SecVault version is v.1.0.1.2.

Hint 5: So we have 1A2B1012. Lastly, we add the serial number of the memory stick.

Hint 6: The BIOS might be a good place to look for the serial number.

Hint 7: Got the full number, 1A2B1012421162? Let’s filter for that in MemStack, as Andrea’s computer is booting up.

Solution: Enter 1A2B1012421162 in the memory utility. Make sure the “Stop on match” checkbox is enabled. Start the capture and boot up Andrea’s computer. It should freeze the screen on a match. Hit “Save capture”, “Exit”, and drag and drop the memory dump to “Descrambler ELITE!”.

KCU Hack (Part 4):

Hint 1: So, apparently the tool can’t outright crack the password from the memory dump. We can probably do better than pure brute forcing, so maybe some clues from Andrea’s belongings can be a good starting point?

Hint 2: We know that the password is seven characters long. That should narrow things down a bit.

Hint 3: Let’s look for seven letter words and try them in the tool to see if they’re at least a decent match.

Hint 4: Andrea appears to be fond of music.

Hint 5: How’s “Perplex”?

Hint 6: The last written page of the computer book has an interesting little tidbit about “leetspeak”. A hacker like Andrea might be into that stuff.

Hint 7: We’ll have to brute force the exact password. Try experimenting by replacing lowercase letters with uppercase, letters with numbers etc and check the output of the tool.

Hint 8: Try P3rp13X

Solution: Enter P3rp13X into the tool, verify that it’s the correct password and then use it to log on to Andrea’s computer. Don’t forget to look through everything relevant on the computer afterwards!

The gun:

Hint 1: Did you look around the crash site?

Hint 2: Can’t get it up from the drain? Maybe you can create a makeshift tool?

Hint 3: Did you search the dorm room thoroughly?

Hint 4: You’ll need a spool of metal wire and a magnet.

Hint 5: Gun but no ammo? There should be more at Longhorn PI.

Solution: In the dorm room, pick up the metal wire from Andrea’s drawer in the dorm room and the magnet from the disassembled hard drive. Combine the two and then use the magnetic tool to collect the gun from the drain at the crash site. Then pick up some ammo from Longhorn PI (the box behind the desk).

Finding Cooper:

Hint 1: The chief should be back at the Ranger Station with more useful info about Cooper.

Hint 2: Asked about Cooper already? The map outside the chief’s office might come in handy.

Hint 3: Kathy refuses to go to Cooper’s unarmed? Be sure to collect the gun first (see previous section).

Solution: Ask the chief about Ranger Cooper, check the map outside his office, and then make sure you are armed before heading to the cabin.

Cooper’s Cabin:

Hint 1: You know the drill, lockpicks on door.

Hint 2: What’s that on the floor?

Hint 3: Try walking over it.

Hint 4: Kathy refuses to leave? Try examining the thing you picked up.

Solution: Walk up to the door, watch the cutscene. Use the lockpicks on the door. Walk over the floor hatch to the right of the table. Examine the form.

DAY 6

Tabby’s Garden:

Hint 1: Did you enter the inner section?

Hint 2: Did you see the book on the desk next to Tabitha?

Hint 3: Did you notice the medical bottle on the shelf near the door?

Solution: Enter the inner section, pick up the address book and the ipecac syrup bottle.

Engstrom:

Hint 1: Did you pick up the ipecac syrup at Tabby’s Garden?

Hint 2: Oscar drinks quite regularly, doesn’t he?

Hint 3: Try the syrup on the water cooler.

Hint 4: Getting caught? Maybe somebody could distract Oscar.

Hint 5: Remember that handy cellphone?

Hint 6: Try calling Eileen at the office.

Solution: Call Eileen on the cellphone and ask her about Oscar. When they’re busy talking, use the Ipecac Syrup on the water cooler. Then lockpick the door and search the file cabinets.

Finished the above, what’s next?

Hint 1: Did you find Tabitha’s address book?

Hint 2: Did you pick up Sharon’s file at Engstrom?

Hint 3: Did you try looking things up in the address book?

Hint 4: Try Marla Stone.

Hint 5: Did you check the PO boxes in the library?

Hint 6: Perhaps you can correlate the mine map with something you picked up earlier?

Hint 7: Cooper’s map.

Solution: Look up Marla Stone in Tabitha’s address book, go to the library and open the PO box with the lockpicks, then combine the mine map with Cooper’s map.

EVENING 6

Hideout entrance:

Hint 1: You better disable that camera.

Solution: Use the radio on the camera.

Showdown:

Hint 1: You should work together with Tom.

Hint 2: Yelling across the room won’t work, or Wiktor would overhear.

Hint 3: Try the radio.

Hint 4: Maybe there is something in the environment that Tom can use?

Hint 5: Try asking Tom about the Valve.

Hint 6: Tom getting shot? You’ll have to provide covering fire.

Solution: Use the radio on Tom to call him. Hang up, then wait a few seconds and use the revolver to shoot at Wiktor, giving Tom the time to turn the valve.

The door code:

Hint 1: Perhaps there is a way to determine what code the bad guys used to open the door?

Hint 2: That camera in the ceiling looks interesting…

Hint 3: Perhaps Eileen can help?

Hint 4: Try calling her on the radio and make some inquiries.

Hint 5: Not getting an exact code? You’ll have to brute force the final digit.

Solution: 5991

Altar 1:

Hint 1: Remember the pattern of Faith’s killings?

Hint 2: The newspapers might offer some clues.

Hint 3: Try going chronologically from the first murder.

Solution: Knife, falling man, noose, bonfire.

Altar 2:

Hint 1: The newspapers may offer some clues.

Hint 2: The statuettes should represent the occupations of all murder victims, from the first to the last, including Tabitha.

Hint 3: Nurse, mailman, deacon, student, author, florist.

Solution: Caduceus, letter, cross, student hat, writer’s desk, bonsai tree.

Altar 3:

Hint 1: The newspapers may offer some clues.

Hint 2: The statuettes should represent the sequence of the Soothsayer killings. What happened and in what order?

Solution: Syringe, mirror, eye, skull.

Room with glass floor:

Hint 1: There is a safe platform near the grave.

Hint 2: Try to be quick and don’t stay too long in one place.

Hint 3: You’ll need to pick up each of the shards.

Hint 4: That grave looks important.

Hint 5: Try using the urn on the grave.

Hint 6: Stuck in the room? You should probably put the urn back.

Solution: Quickly pick up the shards on the floor, try to avoid Eric and use the safe area if you need to. Put the urn on the grave, and after the cinematic, put it back yet again.

Room with valves:

Hint 1: You cannot turn the valves while Andrea is chasing you. She will always catch up.

Hint 2: Those steam vents might be useful.

Hint 3: Try to get Andrea to get hit by the Steam.

Hint 4: Andrea isn’t wounded by the steam, she’s just stunned.

Hint 5: When Andrea is stunned, turn each of the three valves.

Solution: Avoid Andrea until she is hit by the steam, which stuns her. Turn the valve. Repeat for all three valves.

Roof:

Hint 1: Time to defeat the true enemy.

Solution: If needed, put the white bullet in the gun, and then use it on Mr. Burgundy.
