The clever creators of Foolish Mortals

You wouldn’t know it to look at screenshots or play the demo, but Foolish Mortals is the first game from indie UK developer Inklingwood Studios. This beautiful, highly polished “merry & macabre” adventure promises not just a substantial supernatural mystery to uncover in 1930s Louisiana, but a full-fledged, puzzle-packed gameplay experience as well. It's long been one of Adventure Game Hotspot's mostly highly anticipated games, so with its four-year production nearly complete, Joshua and Jack invited the husband-and-wife masterminds behind the game, David and Sophie Younger, to join them for an insightful conversation – not just about the game itself and their own personal backgrounds, but the challenges facing any first-time developer and why (or why not) it’s a worthy pursuit for would-be creators.

Of course there was time for fun and games as well. Joshua grilled the group on what he has in his trousers – famous adventure game inventory items, that is! And last but certainly not least came the top five lists, this time of favourite amusement/theme park attractions in honour of David’s background as a ride designer.
