The Classic Gamers Guild Podcast addresses the fashionable side and TV potential of adventures
- 0 Comments
Proving you can have both style and substance, the Classic Gamers Guild Podcast promises a big bang with this month's pair of shows. From imagining popular adventures adapted for TV, to channeling their inner Met Gala in gabbing about garb, Anna Vigue and Paul Korman (the real fellow behind The Phantom Fellows) have fashioned a good time for all. For more details, follow Paul's stream of consciousness wherever it may go, so long as you end up at the links to these great pods!
"In Adventure Game Sitcoms, Anna and I reimagine some classic adventures as period-appropriate TV sitcoms. Imagine Laura Bow having her own weekly whodunit series, Gabriel Knight starring in his own X-Files, or shek this out: how about Leisure Suit Larry has a show, right, and he lives with his mom who's like the Muppet Babies' mom – or wait, no, she's like Howard Wolfowitz's mom, but anyway Larry keeps trying to get... how would you say... his loins tended to, and it never works out, kinda like how nothing ever worked out for Al Bundy, and so in the end he's always just back home with his mom. This episode is that, but like, more better. It's actually pretty listenable; you'll see, you'll all see. Mangia!"
"In Quest for Style: Character Design and Fashion in Adventure Games, Anna and I talk character design and answer some super fun questions such as: Who's the most cosplayable character? If you had to dress like an adventure game character for a month, who would it be? Which villain dressed the most villainy? What two characters would you Freaky Friday? And a ton more, like, too much more. So join in as we get actually pretty bitchy in discussing adventure game fashion choices; it's a real good time. Mangia!"
