Classic though they may, the early Sierra adventure games often had their fair share of bugs and glitches. Normally that would be a bad thing – and to the company's credit, they ended up patching out most of them – but sometimes bugs have an actual benefit: they're hilarious, though it takes a keen eye and uber level of fandom to find them.

Cue OneShortEye and the Space Quest Historian for a tag team video detailing their top ten glitches in 1988's Police Quest II: The Vengeance. With help from a list compiled by super-sleuth Kuro-chan, who was the first to discover many of these, OSE and SQH go back and forth sharing their favorite bug-out moments, some of which can actually be used to your advantage.

Here's where you can find out, for example, how to ditch Sonny Bonds's lazy partner Keith and go joyriding in the car alone; or where you can safely pull your gun in the airport without getting blown to smithereens (don't try this at home); or how to live forever, so long as you don't mind spending the rest of your invincible life in a small room repeating the same text phrase.

Not all bugs are useful, of course, like the one that can see you hit a dead end... on the very first screen! But most are just harmlessly silly, resulting in all kinds of awkward poses and animations for protagonist and NPCs alike, which offers some welcome levity amidst PQ2's sometimes grueling police procedures.

So watch and enjoy, either the tastefully bleeped version below, or the slightly extended SQH-unleashed version instead.
