Ghost hunting in Cornwall with Jonathan Boakes and Matt Clark
- 0 Comments
The last time Adventure Game Geek visited the county of Cornwall in the company of Darkling Room's Jonathan Boakes and Shadow Tor's Matt Clark, masters of creepy English horror stories, he was able to visit some of the sites in and around the harbour towns of Polperro and Looe that inspired The Lost Crown and Barrow Hill.
But that was done in the comfort and security of the bright light of day. This time he went back... in the dark!
Actually, it was day when Geek arrived for the Looe Festival of Words, giving him time to check out Jonathan's new book Haunted Harbour: The Looe Ghost Guide and play a bit of The Last Crown: Blackenrock first-hand. (Yes, the long-awaited sequel to The Lost Crown exists!) But by the time the trio got out of the Jolly Sailor Inn, it was pitch black and they were all green. No, not from being overserved, but rather due to the night vision lens allowing them to film their adventure in the deep dark forest, home to a particular big beech tree rumoured to be haunted by those who have died beneath – or hung from – its branches.
Equipped with an old repurposed 1980s radio, the ghost hunters tried to pick up a signal from beyond – and got one! Or did they? You'll have to watch to find out and decide for yourself.
As to what became of Adventure Game Geek? For now we have only this found footage to speculate on...
