The Classic Gamers Guild Podcast ranks the best of LucasArts and Sierra SCI0
- 0 Comments
Instead of another clash of titans between Sierra vs. LucasArts, the Classic Gamers Guild Podcast's Anna Vigue and Paul Korman keep the battles in-house in their latest pair of shows, as they rank the best of Sierra's SCI0 catalogue (you know you've made it big when your "best of" lists need their own sub-categories) and the quality-over-quantity collection of LucasArts adventures. Whether you agree (possibly) or disagree (probably), the one certainty is that you'll have a whole lot of fun listening in!
Here's Paul to tell you more, if not necessarily making things any clearer. (By the way, his own debut game The Phantom Fellows is nearly here, launching September 27th! We nabbed him for an interview ahead of time to talk and laugh about it.)
"In Ranking Sierra SCI0 Games, Anna and I rank Sierra's SCI0 games! SCI0 was a magical time for Sierra: Colonel's Bequest, Space Quest 3, Hero's Quest, King's Quest 4, Leisure Suit Larry 2 & 3, Codename: ICEMAN, Police Quest 2, Conquests of Camelot... and because ranking these legendary games is such a difficult task, we brought in help from the CGG community as well as from our Adventure Game Hotspot Network friends. Where does your favorite land? Find out on this thrilling installment of the CGG Podcast. MANGIA!"
"In Ranking LucasArts Adventure Games, Anna and I talk about Indiana McCracken and The Loom of Tentacle Island! Okay, fine, we actually rank all of LucasArtseses adventure games, but the dummy who writes these just wanted to say that. (Hey, screw you, me!) So grab some snacks and get cozy – unless your thing is listening to this while exercising, in which case absolutely do not get a snack or cozy – and tune in to find out where your favorite game lands in this very professional, very serious* ranking! Mangia!
*Seriousness not guaranteed. Must be 18 years or older or have a parent's credit card to judge the level of professionalism."
