You wouldn't think Paul Korman would have time for podcasting, what with the great news that his supernatural comedy adventure The Phantom Fellows now has a release date: September 27th! But Paul's a capable multitasker, and with his Classic Gamers Guild podcast partner Anna Vigue raring to go, the two of them once again treated us to a pair of delightful shows this past month. Listen and laugh as they take us from the fantasy kingdom of Daventry in their latest Sierra release comparison, to futuristic (well, futuristic at the time) Los Angeles as a hunter of rogue replicants.

We'd say more, but we'll let Paul do so himself, in his own inimitable way.

"In Sierra Remake Comparison IV: King's Quest, Anna and I are comparing the original* AGI King’s Quest with the SCI remake. It's part of our EGA vs VGA Sierra Comparison series, except the King's Quest remake is still in EGA so technically it's– look, it's all very nerdy and pedantic. Point is, a game was made, then it was remade, and we're going to be the vessel in which you vicariously experience playing through both. Mangia!

*So we both played the 1987 remake of the original 1984 PCjr release, so really you could argue we're more comparing the remake to the remake but the original remake – of which the remake was based off – isn't much of a remake; it's more a ported and patched version of that original boot disk version from the PCjr.

I hope this didn't accidentally make sense."

"In Blade Runner, Anna and I are talking about what it means to be human and to have played Blade Runner, the 1997 adventure game. This was a fun conversation that ranges from what a voxel actually is to the philosophical implications behind the questions that Blade Runner asks. And all from the differing perspectives of Anna, who is a newcomer to the IP, and of Paul, who is a lifetime fan and Phillip K. Dick about it. Mangia!"
