Android demo now available for classic-styled point-and-click adventure in the afterlife

The consquistadors have been dead a long time, but one of their more intrepid explorers is not going to let a little thing like not being alive anymore stop him from starring in his own upcoming adventure game, Conquistadorio.

Having faced many trials and hardships, the little bandit protagonist – still decked out his his striped uniform and helmet – just wants to relax and live the life... well, the afterlife of a hermit, alone in a cave. There's to be no rest for the weary, however, as the coffin the conquistador sleeps in suddenly disappears. Now he'll need to set out on a journey through the land of the dead in order to get it back, an adventure that may just reunite him with his fellow former companions along the way.

Inspired by games like Machinarium, Conquistadorio is a wordless point-and-click adventure that sends players through a variety of stylishly hand-painted environments. There are no sunny skies or streets of gold here, as the environments are suitably gloomy and deathly – a wasteland filled with spikey wooden architecture, strange metal contraptions and otherworldly creatures, along with the occasional corpse or zombie. You'll encounter "a multitude of puzzles" to solve as well, so you'll need to collect items and interact with everything you can to see what happens in order to progress, providing "many hours" of adventuring challenge.

Conquistadorio is set to arrive on mobiles and Steam for Windows PC on October 20th, but if you have an Android device, you can check out an early demo of the game right away on Google Play.
