Family friendly adventure based on the beloved cartoon strip coming this year to PC and consoles

When you think of famous detectives, the first names that leap to mind are probably Sherblock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, Nancy Drew and the like, but this October there will be a much smaller and furrier but equally popular investigator on the case in Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club.

It's a seemingly normal summer afternoon when the worst crime Snoopy can imagine is committed: no dinner! It's not like Charlie Brown to be so neglectful (about feeding time, anyway), so Snoopy takes it upon himself to set out in search of answers. Along the way, he'll encounter a variety of other mysteries needing his nose for detail as well, whether it's tracking down missing kites or football equipment, searching for "ghostly music" or "seeking out the mysterious Lake Ness Monster." It's going to talk all of Snoopy's wits – and various personas – to "solve challenging cases and uncover hidden secrets," but he won't be alone, as he'll also have help from the familiar Peanuts gang, including Lucy, Linus, Sally, Peppermint Patty, Woodstock, and Pigpen, not to mention the town blockhead himself.

Rather than adapt the flat 2D look of the cartoon strip, Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club features a bright and vividly colored 3D aesthetic more like 2015's The Peanuts Movie, though of course with all the "delightful charm, clever puzzles, and heartwarming friendships" you'd expect. As you explore iconic locations like the "school, the music hall, Charlie Brown’s house, the baseball field [and] the Kite-Eating Tree," you'll need to choose which of Snoopy's alter egos to assume, such as "Detective, Beagle Scout, Fierce Pirate and more to solve puzzles with clever tools like a leaf blower, a super-sleuth's magnifying glass, a trusty metal detector and others." Even that won't be enough, however, so players can form teams of up to four different characters to help Snoopy uncover answers, each bringing "their own special skills to the case."

Since all work and no play can be a little much, in between solving mysteries you'll be able to engage in a variety of different minigames that any fan of the comic (or just a fan of fun) can enjoy. No Snoopy adventure is complete without soaring through the sky, for example, so here you can "take flight in the legendary Sopwith Camel to chase down the Red Baron." Back on solid ground, you can also play some baseball and engage in "crafting, memory tests, object hunts, piano playing, and Snoopy soapbox racing," among other activities. Football, too – could this be Charlie Brown's chance to FINALLY kick the ball held by Lucy? (Surely we won't let ourselves be fooled into believing again!) Naturally, all this will be delivered with "heart and humor" in an "emotional story that celebrates the power of friendship, teamwork, and staying true to who you are."

Developed by Cradle Games and published by GameMill Entertainment, Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club is due to launch on Steam for Windows PC on October 10th, along with console versions for PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. The game will be available in both standard and "deluxe" editions, the latter including "an exclusive Joe Cool outfit for Snoopy, two Red Baron mini-games, two Peanuts soapbox racing mini-games, and 75 full-color comics available to read in-game."
