Forensics mystery thriller in a remote family manor coming to Steam this summer
While many mystery adventures involve finding out whodunit from a variety of suspects, forensic experts are more focused on figuring out howdunit first. It's the latter kind of sleuthing that players will be doing in Blue Hat Studio's upcoming investigative thriller She's Leaving, all while trying to avoid being the next one dun.
A number of people have disappeared in the "snowy region of Haywood," and as forensics analyst Charles Dalton, specializing in blood spatter, you have been assigned to a case that leads to a secluded "dark family manor." There you'll find plenty of clues that require "all the forensic abilities at your disposal," but you'll also discover to your horror that the old Tudor mansion isn't entirely abandoned. A mysterious figure still resides there in the darkness, and if you're not careful you'll find yourself the next victim destined to disappear from this place. It's not just a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, either, as you'll soon come to realize that "there has always been a target on your back."
Presented in first-person, free-roaming 3D, She's Leaving is a "horror game focusing on crime and mystery" that takes players from the many eerie, dimly lit rooms and corridors of the sprawling House Haywood to the "haze-covered docks of Haywood itself." Clues can be anywhere, so you'll need to "search every nook and cranny, as there is a story to be told in every corner." Making sense of the evidence you discover will involve tools and processes based on "the real-life practices of forensic analysts," but you'll be far less equipped to deal with the mystery intruder. The only weapon available is a taser, so it'll be your choice whether the "run and hide, or stand and fight" if you're to survive the night.
No firm target release date has yet been announced, but She's Leaving is currently due to arrive on Steam sometime in the third quarter of 2025 for Windows PC.
