Adventure Game Hotspot Network presents: Bill Tiller in Conversations with Curtis

The adventure genre is blessed with a wealth of insightful, entertaining new fan-made videos being produced regularly across the internet, but if you don't know where to look it can be easy to let them slip through the cracks. Here at the Hotspot, we're big believers in community, so we've initiated the Adventure Game Hotspot Network, a collective of passionate and talented content creators who will still work entirely independently but have joined forces to promote each other's efforts.

Today we are proud to debut this new feature by sharing the latest installment of Conversations with Curtis, founded by Paul Morgan Stetler, who starred as Curtis Craig in Sierra's 1996 FMV psychological thriller Phantasmagoria: A Puzzle of Flesh. The show is a livestreamed series of deep-dive YouTube interviews with the "actors, writers, directors, developers, and composers from all your favorite retro games from the 90s and beyond."

This new conversation, hosted by Daniel Albu, stars the one and only Bill Tiller. Bill is the legendary artist for LucasArts adventure games such as The Curse of Monkey Island and The Dig, and co-founder of Autumn Moon Entertainment, where he created A Vampyre Story and Ghost Pirates of Voojoo Island, as well as Venture Moon Industries, which produced Duke Grabowski: Mighty Swashbuckler! Bill is known for having a big personality and he didn't disappoint in this informative and entertaining four-hour chat.

Wait! Did we say four hours?! Yes, but don't be scared off by the length. It's absolutely loaded with adventure game nuggets that you've unlikely heard before. It's an unfiltered, unvarnished, all-access pass to what happened behind the scenes during the development of some of the greatest point-and-click adventure games ever made. Did Steven Spielberg get upset over how long it took to create The Dig? Were there concerns that Guybrush Threepwood "wasn't nerdy enough" in The Secret of Monkey Island and LeChuck's Revenge? Was there office resentment over how much attention Full Throttle received?

And if the LucasArts stuff isn't enough, we bet you're also dying to hear what's going on with A Vampyre Story 2. Well, Bill doesn't hold anything back in that department either.

You may think you know about Bill Tiller, but in this video you will get to get to really know the man! So grab a snack, sit back and settle in to hang out with Daniel and Bill for the evening.
