Next narrative-driven adventure from the creators of Life Is Strange unveiled for June release on PC and consoles

Imagine the power you’d have if you could see into the future. But imagine, too, the enormous responsibility that would come with the ability to make decisions that would impact the fate of all humanity. This is precisely the gift and the burden players will face in the upcoming Harmony: The Fall of Reverie, a brand new narrative adventure from the creators of Life Is Strange.

Unveiled today during Nintendo Direct, the game stars a young woman named Polly, who returns to her Mediterranean hometown of Alma to discover that her mother is missing and the city is now controlled by a megacorporation called MK. To her great surprise, Polly also learns that she “has a gift of clairvoyance that connects her to another world, Reverie, where the Aspirations of Humanity live: Glory, Bliss, Power, Chaos, Bond, and Truth.” Polly is a goddess in this alternate realm as well, the eponymous Harmony, and it’s her job to “choose the Aspiration that will ultimately rule.” This is a matter of great consequence, as there is “a delicate balance between our world and Reverie that grows more precarious.” In the end it will come down to your decisions alone to “restore the balance between the Aspirations’ world and ours.”

As with Don’t Nod’s acclaimed Life Is Strange series, Harmony is a narrative adventure filled with unique characters, rich lore, and a host of decisions to make that will impact the direction of the story. Here, however, the French developer has opted for a much more stylized hand-painted aesthetic, accompanied by an original soundtrack by composer Lena Raine. To decide the fate of humanity, you’ll need to utilize Polly’s ability to see into the future with “the Augural,” a game board that visually represents the protagonist’s clairvoyant gift, allowing you to “explore the outcomes of possible choices.” Each decision you make, each action you take, will affect both your own world and that of the deities and “open up different narrative paths,” giving the game a high degree of replayability to try different approaches.

While no specific date has been set just yet, Harmony: The Fall of Reverie will be arriving sometime in June on Steam for Windows PC, along with console versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch on the Nintendo eShop.
