I remember playing the demo for this back in 1998, and always meant to play the full game - it has a great, weird setting. I wonder what the differences between playing this enhanced version and the currently available version on PC will be.

It is definitely worth playing through. Bizarre, but a real gem in my opinion, from a time when the genre was struggling.

So far just some widescreen resolution , does not seem they touched the dated graphics... I really was hoping for a remake . I loved this game as a kid when it came out.

The graphics hold up well. 2D art reached a really detailed level in the late 1990s. Of course modern displays don't look as good as CRT for 90s games, but maybe the rerelease will deal with that to some extent? I would be interested in a remake too but most remakes mess up the original art style, atmosphere etc. and I would be so sad if that happened to Sanitarium!
