Description

Mar is a guardian of time who can see where cause and effect have been broken. She travels to critical moments in Polish and European history, assumes an identity suited to each era, and quietly restores the chain of events before anyone discovers what she really is. Mar is not sent into the past to judge it. She is not there to conquer it. She cannot simply erase every tragedy she understands. Her duty is harsher: She must preserve history without pretending that history is just.
