Decades ago, the world's electronics and global communications were wiped out, so humanity looked under its feet as a resurgence of mining swept the globe. In one of many company towns that sprouted up, the network of mineshafts blossomed with quicksilver overnight. But pressure bubbled under the surface, and now the town is in chaos, threatening to explode into something bigger. Enter you: middle child of one of the richest men on the planet but exiled by your family after yet another scandal.
