Lovecraftian erotic thriller to continue story begun in Lust for Darkness and Lust from Beyond

Lust can never fully be satiated, so it should come as no surprise that we haven't seen the last of the Madmind Studio's Lusst’ghaa series. Following the earlier releases of Lust for Darkness and Lust from Beyond, the indie developer has now pulled back the curtain on the next series installment, Lust of God.

While the first game sent players directly into the "wicked land of pain and pleasure," the sequel sayed closer to home as an "ecstasy cult" sought to summon forth Lauv’abrarc, the "God of Pleasure" himself. This time around (inevitable spoiler alert!), their plan finally comes to fruition, though not in a way that anyone intended, resulting in horrific consequences. Just as the deity arrives, a terrified humanity "initiates a military onslaught using nuclear weapons that tear apart the giant's body." With the blast zone filled with "anomalies and mutations, deemed deadly and contaminated," the cult adapts and earns widespread acceptance, gaining free access to the sealed area aound the entity's remains. Here they practice new rituals, "transforming their bodies to experience new kinds of pleasure." Players control one such cultist, a young woman who "starts undergoing frightening bodily changes" and begins following the voice of Lauv'abraca only she can hear, "pointing the way to endless ecstasy."

As with its predecessors, Lust of God is a free-roaming, first-person erotic horror adventure inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, as well as the art of H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński. The earlier games didn't hold back on the mature content, and nor, it seems, will this one, promising a "fascinating journey through a world saturated with eroticism." As players progress through a deeply personal story, they can expect a "disturbing atmosphere blending psychosis with surrealism," including not only logical puzzles to solve but also "terrifying enemies to confront, gory executions" and an elaborate autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) system signifying the "voices of ecstasy" you hear in your head.

While no target release date has yet been announced, Lust of God is already available for wishlisting on Steam for Windows PC, giving you plenty of time to get caught up on its predecessors in the meantime.
