Full version of forensic-driven 1950s deduction mystery coming to PC on Steam in early 2026

In most deduction games, your work is done once you've sussed out all the clues and pieced them together in the right order. In SUPERTHUMb's upcoming Death at Fleming Manor, however, the job has only just begun at that point, as there are medical examinations still to perform as well.

It's 1959, and players assume the role of the Edgar Whitmore, the new coroner in the Cedarville area of England. You've barely reported for duty when you're called to investigate a fatal car crash outside a "foggy countryside mansion near London." Little do you know at the time that it will be just the first of "a string of mysterious deaths" surrounding the titular Fleming Manor, a convalescent house that attracts plenty of upper-society clientele. Could it all be a coincidence, or is there something more nefarious at work? It's up to you to investigate and "analyze evidence, reconstruct crime scenes, and most critically, write the official death certificate."

Described as a "classic detective drama reimagined in the style of 1960s crime comics," Death at Fleming Manor is a slideshow-style whodunit inspired by popular modern deduction games like Return of the Obra Dinn and The Case of the Golden Idol. It starts out feeling very familiar, with crime scenes to examine for highlighted words of importance and additional clues for use in dialogue. The difference is that here you'll not only need to fill in the gaps in text statements outlining the facts of the case, you'll also join post-mortem examiner Avery Quinn in (tastefully) examining the bodies and performing lab work like blood tests as well. To prepare the necessary "official forensic documents," you must analyze the evidence carefully and dig deep into your medical journal to round out a "grounded, procedural investigation experience." Help is available if you get stuck, but it's up to you to figure out who is behind the many tragedies befalling the mansion's residents.

The complete version of Death at Fleming Manor isn't far off, as the indie South Korean developers say it should be arriving sometime in early 2026. There's no need to wait until then to get started, though, as a playable demo is available now on Steam for Windows PC, presenting players with "the tutorial and Episode 1" from the full game.
