Project ReMind reveals memorable first details

Futuristic first-person 3D puzzle adventure coming next year to PC on Steam and Epic
Losing our memories as we age is something none of us wants to seriously consider, but it often makes for intriguing adventure game fare, such as in Project ReMind, an upcoming first-person puzzle adventure by indie developer Red Hog Studio.
The year is 2092, and the game's protagonist is now "very old." Perhaps too old, in fact, as he's unable to remember something he knows is vitally important. The man lives alone in a seemingly self-contained island utopia, with only holographic images of loves ones for company. As he nears death, however, it's no longer enough to simply live out his remaining days: a question continues to haunt him, as it has "since THAT day at university where it all began." To finally get the answers he seeks, he'll need to do something that "terrifies" him by recovering fragmented memories of the past. For players, that means an opportunity to "explore forgotten worlds, manipulate intricate machines and strange computers, solve hidden riddles and uncover deeply seeded mysteries" across a lifetime of experiences that "starts in the present day, and takes you through to the dawn of the 22nd century."
While driven by its mysterious, personal storyline, Project ReMind is a heavily puzzle-centric experience with a crisp free-roaming, first-person 3D aesthetic, accompanied by an original score by Felix Wilson, recorded live using "real theremin, analogue synths, lush strings, woodwinds, and unique percussion" that promises to "evolve and reshape itself as you play." As you travel both time and space, you'll need to "open secret passages, decipher cryptic computer logs and reactivate the dormant technology of your past life" by solving "dozens of uniquely crafted puzzles involving complex machines." Each challenge demands "keen observation and critical thinking" along the way, but with every puzzle solved you'll be pulled "deeper into your own memories ... from your first discovery to your own death bed."
No firm target release date has yet been announced, but Project ReMind is due to be released for Windows PC sometime in 2026 on Epic and Steam, the latter offering a reminder of its own when the time comes for those who wishlist the game while they wait.
