Free-to-play point-and-click adventure for PC and mobile devices commemorates studio's ten-year anniversary
Usually people give themselves gifts to commemorate special anniversaries, but acclaimed indie developer Rusty Lake is generously marking the studio's tenth anniversary by giving us something to celebrate in the form of the short but free-to-play The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show.
This game puts players in the audience with a chance to "peek behind the curtain of the extravagant magician also known as Mr. Rabbit." On stage, the veteran illusionist will perform a series of twenty different acts of magic pulled straight from his top hat that require your participation to complete. More than just mere sleight of hand, these "whimsically bizarre acts" promise to "test your ability to think outside the 'box,'" from simple tasks like popping balloons and arranging flowers to much more daring and extravagant feats of wits, skill and courage.
The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show is presented in Rusty Lake's familiar offbeat hand-drawn art style, accompanied by a mood-setting jazz score, sound effects, and even "unexpected voice actors." And if a "magical game filled with secrets and unexpected twists" gets you in the Rusty Lake mood, there's more to look forward to as the game also includes a "secret achievement that points toward the next major title in the series: Servant of the Lake, which will explore the early history of the Vanderboom Brothers."
Not only is The Mr. Rabbit Magic Show FREE, it's also available NOW, both for Windows and Mac on Steam and itch.io, and for mobile devices on the App Store and Google Play. If you like what you see and are new to the Rusty Lake experience, or still have some gaps in your collection of the studio's ten-year-old catalogue, now's a good time to get caught up, as all "premium" Rusty Lake games are on sale across all platforms for a limited time with deals up to 66% off.
