Satirical 3D spy-themed puzzler coming soon to Steam for Windows PC

Job interviews are the worst, with their canned questions, high stress, stiff competition and, shall we say... "embellished" candidate accomplishments. Unless, that is, you're trying to become a SPY, which by its very nature requires a very different approach. This is the much more interesting employment opportunity presented in Hellion Red's upcoming debut adventure, Agent of Veil.

VEIL is an "elusive spy agency" that is looking to recruit you as its newest member in the "covert world of espionage." Of course, an unusual job requires unusual vetting processes, and in this case you're required to solve a series of "increasingly complex puzzles and challenges" posed to you by Ghost, VEIL’s "cutting-edge digital assistant." With each new hidden clue you find, interview question you answer, and logical brain-teaser you correctly complete, you'll also begin to uncover the agency's own secrets, including the gossip and other office politics occurring within its headquarters. As you "learn about fellow agents and get a taste of the drama that comes with the high-pressure world of espionage," perhaps the biggest challenge is whether you can "solve encrypted messages while dodging the real problems, like the passive-aggressive notes about the 'missing' stapler."

Presented in a colourful, cartoony 3D art style, Agent of Veil is a satirical point-and-click spy game with its tongue planted firmly in cheek. But that doesn't make the puzzle-filled investigative work any less challenging in an office environment where "encrypted documents, secret rooms, and coded messages are just the tip of the iceberg." To pass your test and prove you worth, you must overcome a variety of different obstacles, ranging from "classic ciphers to unconventional spy interview questions" along the way. If you get stuck in your current assignment, you can always ask Ghost for some guidance, but you're on your own to uncover the bigger internal mysteries at VEIL and the "everyday workplace antics" of would-be fellow employees. And bear in mind that this interview is "not only about your skills, it’s also about how well you can keep a straight face when asked if you’re comfortable with 'unconventional' methods, like working with cats."

Aspiring spies should begin working on their résumés and keep an eye on the job posting on Steam, where Agent of Veil will ultimately be available on Windows PC.
