Follow-up to 2020 sci-fi action-puzzler playable solo or co-op with two or four players

Biped 2 may be a rather obvious name for the upcoming sequel to the popular 2020 sci-fi action-puzzler, but this time around its cooperative multiplayer mode actually allows for 2 or 4 players to participate – though of course you'll be able to once again go it alone if you'd rather play on your own.

The first time around, Biped's adorable pair of small robots were called upon to brave the many perils on Earth to reactivate beacons that had gone silent across eight distinct levels. Having successfully accomplished that task, now they're receiving a distress signal from another planet far away. Determined to "prove themselves and help those in need across the galaxy," the little bots heroically set out on a whole new adventure, overcoming every obstacle in their path one step at a time – literally.

The 3D alien world of Biped 2 is just as cheerfully vibrant as its Terran counterpart in the first game. A whole new planet means more diverse, uncharted biomes to explore, "challenging" puzzles to solve and characters to meet, including creatures known as "elementals." And as before, the unique easy-to-learn, hard-to-master movement mechanics are back, in which players control the protagonists' individual legs. But this time, not only can you play solo or with a friend, a four-player co-op option is available as well, along with accompanying new abilities and ways to get around. You can still slide, but now you can also "soar gracefully on a hang glider ... or conquer ledges and breaks with a grappling hook." At times even that won't be enough, however, so you'll be called on to "unite with your robot partner and become one," assuming control of both arms and legs that must be coordinated to proceed. Along the way, you'll want to keep an eye out for treasures that let you "buy wacky hats" and personalize your bot(s) as you see fit, and when you're done you can even design your own levels or play other community creations via the Steam Workshop feature.

There is no specific launch date just yet, but Biped 2 isn't too far off, expected to release on Steam for Windows PC sometime in the second quarter of 2025, along with console versions for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
