Sequel to 2021's The First Cases coming this summer to PC, PlaySation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms

In 2021, Blazing Griffin and Microids teamed up to offer us a glimpse into the early career of Agatha Christie's famed Belgian detective Hercule Poirot in The First Cases. For an encore, Poirot is set to return this summer in an all-new mystery called The London Case, and for the first time in a video game, this time he'll be teamed up with another beloved character from the Queen of Crime's novels.

At first your task is to prevent a crime from taking place, as Poirot is asked by Lloyd's of London to "ensure the transportation, protection, and sale of a valuable painting of Mary Magdalene," which is to be the prized exhibit in a new display at the London Museum. Joining Poirot in his assignment is Arthur Hastings, and together they must ensure the museum's security and "protect the painting from any potential threats." Despite their best efforts, however, the painting is indeed stolen "from under everyone's noses" a week later at the Preview Gala. Now Poirot must utilize all his little grey cells to "uncover the truth and find the culprit behind the theft."

While staying "true to the style and tone of Agatha Christie," The London Case is another original new story from Blazing Griffin, who won a BAFTA for Scotland’s Best Game Award for The First Cases. The new adventure once again takes place in Poirot's earlier years as a burgeoning detective, and represents his first introduction to Hastings (a beloved sidekick for an older, more experienced Poirot in eight of Christie's books). As with its predecessor, the game will be fully voiced and presented largely from an isometric perspective as you guide Poirot through a variety of "iconic locations" around the city, searching for clues, collecting evidence, solving puzzles and interviewing witnesses and potential suspects. (Of course, in any good Christie story, everyone is a suspect.) Once you learn key details, an upgraded "mindmap" matching system will help players to connect them, and a new timeline feature will provide "a better understanding of the chain of events."

No firm release date has been announced just yet, but Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases will be arriving sometime in the third quarter of 2023 on Steam and GOG for Windows PC, along with console versions for PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
