Third installment of hand-drawn dark fantasy series available now for download on Windows PC

It seems the Creepy Brothers aren’t done creeping us out, because the next installment in the aptly named Creepy Tale dark fantasy series is back with the newly released third installment subtitled Ingrid Penance.

While the previous games had players venturing through haunted forests, the new game takes place a whole lot farther down – all the way to hell. That’s where a “capricious, spoiled girl named Ingrid” emerges from a precipitous fall after she “steps on a loaf of bread to avoid getting her shoes dirty.” This was no mere accident, of course, as Ingrid really ended up here “as punishment for her transgressions.” If she’s ever going to find redemption, she’ll need to grapple not only with the obstacles in her path, but with “the darkness that hungers to consume her heart” as well.

As with its predecessors, Creepy Tale 3 is a richly atmospheric hand-drawn adventure in the vein of a Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Trapped in the underworld, players will encounter a “wide variety” of puzzles to solve and nasty creatures to contend with, some of which “want to swallow little Ingrid whole, [while] others want to torment her with never-ending nightmares, and still others want to turn her into a charming statue to impress their neighbors.” Fortunately a “talkative, sarcastic demon” named Molek has taken an interest in her situation and claims to be able to help her escape, but can a demon ever be truly trustworthy? This question and more have tangible consequences, as Ingrid’s eternal fate depends on your choices and actions along the way to one of multiple possible endings.

Anyone interested can go to hell night now (so to speak), as Creepy Tale 3: Ingrid Penance is available now to download on Steam for Windows PC.
